Keurig Dr Pepper announced on October 1, 2026, that its board of directors appointed Russ Torres as Chief Executive Officer of the future standalone business, Global Coffee Co. Torres will join the company on November 3, 2026, initially serving as CEO of the Coffee Operating Unit to lead the integration of operations from Keurig Dr Pepper and JDE Peet's.

Torres will report to Keurig Dr Pepper CEO Tim Cofer until the corporate separation takes place, which is targeted for early 2027. Following the spinoff, Cofer will lead Beverage Co. as CEO, while Torres will become CEO of Global Coffee Co. and join its board of directors. Pamela Patsley, current chair of the Keurig Dr Pepper board, will serve as chair of the new coffee entity.

Torres joins from Kimberly-Clark, where he currently serves as President and Chief Operating Officer overseeing activities across more than 30 countries. His 30-year consumer goods career also includes leadership roles at Newell Brands, Bain & Company, and Mondelēz International.

Upon separation, Global Coffee Co. is projected to generate approximately $16 billion in annual revenue, operate across more than 100 markets, and employ over 25,000 workers. Its brand portfolio will feature Keurig, Jacobs, Peet's, L'OR, and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters across multiple formats.
