ServiceNow launches Flow, an AI service desk for chat tools
The standalone product operates inside Slack and Teams, with general availability planned for the fourth quarter of 2026.
ServiceNow introduced Flow by ServiceNow on October 1, 2026. The new conversational AI-native service desk runs directly inside messaging platforms such as Slack and Microsoft Teams, allowing workers to handle requests and automate workflows without switching to separate support portals.
The tool is offered as a standalone product that requires no infrastructure or implementation project, enabling organizations to get it up and running in a day. New users can activate Flow without an existing ServiceNow contract, while current clients with AI-native stock-keeping units can use it through consumption-based billing at no additional procurement expense.
Once users resolve an issue, such as an access request or password reset, they can automate the workflow with a single click. Flow then handles that specific task automatically on subsequent occurrences, eliminating manual intervention.
The company opened early trial access with priority for North American customers. General availability across North America as well as Europe, the Middle East, and Africa is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026.
