The company will share clinical results for retatrutide, Foundayo, and eloraTZP in Milan.
Eli Lilly announced on 15 September 2026 that it will present clinical data for several cardiometabolic treatments at the 62nd Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes. The conference takes place from 28 September to 2 October 2026 in Milan, Italy.
The company will present Phase 3 TRIUMPH-2 trial results for its investigational triple receptor agonist, retatrutide. In the 80-week study, adults with obesity or overweight and type 2 diabetes lost an average of up to 49.6 pounds (22.5 kg or 20.8%) and reduced their A1C by an average of up to 1.6%.
Lilly will also report Phase 3 data from the ACHIEVE-4 trial evaluating oral therapy Foundayo (orforglipron) against insulin glargine in type 2 diabetes patients at increased cardiovascular risk. The study demonstrated non-inferiority, showing a 16% lower risk of MACE-4 events and a 23% lower risk of MACE-3 events.
In addition, Lilly will unveil Phase 2 data for eloraTZP, a combination of amylin receptor agonist eloralintide and tirzepatide. Phase 1 results showed adding 3 mg of eloralintide to 5 mg of tirzepatide produced 17% weight loss over 16 weeks, compared to 10% with tirzepatide alone.
