Plans range up to $499 per month for businesses to fund heavy capital spending.
Meta launched a bundled subscription service called Meta One on 17 September 2026. The offering provides expanded artificial intelligence access and premium tools across Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. Individual tiers cost $7.99 per month for core access and $19.99 for premium, while business plans range from $14.99 to $499 a month. Single-app plans remain available, starting at $2.99 monthly for WhatsApp Plus and $3.99 for Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus.
The push into subscriptions comes as capital expenditures for artificial intelligence reach record levels. Meta spent $31.08 billion on capex in the second quarter to support its Llama models, pushing total quarterly expenses up 55% to $42.03 billion. The company projects full-year capex between $130 billion and $145 billion, roughly double its spending from the previous year. Meanwhile, Reality Labs recorded an operating loss of $4.62 billion during the second quarter.
CFO Susan Li stated on the latest earnings call that subscription revenue drove a 73% year-over-year increase in Meta's other revenue line, reaching about 15 million active subscriptions and trials. In the second quarter, total revenue rose 28% to $60.8 billion, though net income fell 15% because of infrastructure spending. The company also announced plans to charge businesses per token for Meta Business Agent messages after an initial free tier on WhatsApp and Messenger.
Analysts surveyed by Yahoo! Finance project third-quarter revenue of $73.66 billion, representing 23.5% growth from a year earlier. For the full year, consensus estimates forecast total revenue of $254.1 billion, a 26.4% annual increase.
