The preview integration connects geospatial data to OneLake and Foundry through IQ Sharing
Microsoft expanded its collaboration with location technology specialist TomTom on September 30, 2026. The partnership integrates TomTom location intelligence directly into artificial intelligence agents built on Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Foundry through Microsoft's new IQ Sharing preview.
The integration connects TomTom geospatial data to OneLake. This setup allows Azure and Fabric customers to combine their operational records with TomTom mapping, regulatory, and traffic data to power automated agents inside the existing Microsoft enterprise stack.
Microsoft Fabric and Foundry are designed to help customers unify data and turn insights into action, and TomTom's location intelligence adds an important layer of context for understanding how real-world conditions can affect business operations.
TomTom location intelligence is built on Overture and open standards. It is available on Microsoft Marketplace and qualifies for the Azure Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment program, allowing corporate clients to fund adoption through existing spending agreements. TomTom plans to demonstrate the preview at FabCon Europe 2026 in Barcelona.
