The Colombian virtual operator expands beyond Tigo with wholesale access from América Móvil.
Millicom International Cellular's Colombian unit Tigo is losing its exclusivity as the host network for Móvil Éxito. The mobile virtual network operator has published network configuration and support guidelines confirming that it is adding América Móvil's Claro network alongside Tigo.
According to official documentation on Móvil Éxito's help portal, the provider now operates over both wholesale infrastructures. Móvil Éxito reported 2.2 million active users and a 2.3% market share in Colombia at the close of 2024.
The dual-network setup allows Móvil Éxito subscribers to connect through either operator. In the first quarter of 2026, Móvil Éxito added 1,638 net mobile lines through number portability, according to industry portability data reported by Infobae.
Specific wholesale pricing terms, contract duration, and subscriber migration targets between Móvil Éxito and Claro have not been disclosed.
