MongoDB shares jump 6% after hosting its Investor Day
Analysts reiterated positive ratings after the company reaffirmed its fiscal 2027 guidance.
Shares of database platform company MongoDB climbed 6% in the afternoon session on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, after the company hosted its Investor Day. The presentation led Wall Street analysts to reiterate positive ratings and express confidence in its multi-year opportunities.
Following the presentations, Citizens analyst Patrick Walravens reiterated a Market Outperform rating and a $519.00 price target on the stock. During the event, MongoDB reaffirmed its financial guidance for both the third quarter and the full fiscal year 2027.
The rebound followed a 22.3% drop two days earlier, caused by the abrupt resignation of President and CEO Chirantan "CJ" Desai, who stepped down to become Chief Enterprise Platform Officer at Meta Platforms. Desai had led the company since November 2025. In response, the board appointed former eleven-year CEO Dev Ittycheria as interim president and CEO while retaining an executive search firm for a permanent replacement. Ittycheria previously led MongoDB from 2014 to 2025, a span in which annual revenue expanded from roughly $35 million to more than $2.3 billion.
MongoDB shares are down 10.6% year to date. Trading at $357.45 per share, the stock sits 24.3% below its 52-week high of $472.29 reached in August 2026. The stock has experienced 41 moves larger than 5% over the past year.
