Morgan Stanley will liquidate its Calvert DEI ETF
Trading on NYSE Arca ends October 23, 2026, ahead of liquidation on November 2.
Morgan Stanley Investment Management announced on September 30, 2026, that the Board of Morgan Stanley ETF Trust approved a Plan of Liquidation for the Calvert US Large-Cap Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Index ETF. Under the plan, the fund will liquidate its assets, satisfy liabilities, distribute remaining proceeds to shareholders, and redeem all outstanding shares. The liquidation is scheduled to take place on or about November 2, 2026.
The fund will halt creation unit purchase orders and stop trading on NYSE Arca after the market close on October 23, 2026. Investors may sell shares on the exchange through that date or hold them through liquidation. Morgan Stanley noted that shareholders will be unable to trade the fund on NYSE Arca between October 23 and November 2, 2026.
Ahead of the liquidation date, the fund will convert its portfolio holdings into cash and cash equivalents. During this transition, the fund will no longer track its stated investment strategy, which the asset manager warned is likely to affect performance. Investors who hold shares until the liquidation date will receive cash distributions that may differ from market pricing prior to the trading halt.
