The 150-square-meter pilot facility will open in October at Costa do Sauípe resort.
Natura &Co has partnered with hospitality group Aviva to open a spa under its Ekos brand. Scheduled to open in October, the facility covers approximately 150 square meters at Costa do Sauípe, located 76 kilometers north of Salvador in Bahia. Natura is responsible for the design and operation of the space.
This marks the second spa project for the beauty group. Natura launched its first spa in August 2025 under the Natura Bluma service platform at the Pullman hotel in Guarulhos, São Paulo. Diego Costa, senior director for Latin America at Natura, stated that the new spa is a pilot project designed to test hospitality experiences and build brand loyalty.
The companies did not disclose the financial investment. Aviva funded the transformation and preparation of the space, while Natura financed the experience design, including furnishings and operational elements. Aviva, which operates 12 properties with 2,700 apartments and serves more than 2.2 million clients annually, acquired the resort in 2017 for about BRL 140 million and has since invested BRL 500 million in renovations.
The partnership builds on an existing relationship where Natura supplies products to Aviva hotels. Alessandro Cunha, CEO of Aviva, noted that if the model proves successful, the company may consider expanding the spa concept to its resort in Rio Quente, Goiás.
