Neoenergia announced on October 8, 2026, that it will complete the construction of nine power substations and the expansion of 27 units by December. The work is part of an R$ 868 million investment plan in 2026 covering 12 new substations and 33 expansions across its five distribution companies. The group has already delivered three new substations and completed six expansions earlier this year.

The projects span 57 municipalities across Pernambuco, Bahia, Rio Grande do Norte, São Paulo, Mato Grosso do Sul, and the Federal District, reaching approximately 1.7 million customers. Bahia will receive the largest share, with six new units and 23 expansions by Neoenergia Coelba, focusing on the coast and the western region to support tourism and agribusiness. Neoenergia Pernambuco and Neoenergia Elektro will each receive two new substations, while Neoenergia Brasília and Neoenergia Cosern will each add one.

Our investment in modernization and infrastructure is continuous and reflects Neoenergia's commitment to offering an increasingly better service to our customers. The new deliveries and substation expansions reinforce system capacity and reliability, essential to face extreme weather events, keep pace with urban growth where we operate, and boost strategic economic sectors in each region.

Eduardo Capelastegui, CEO of Neoenergia (translated from Portuguese)

Through 2030, Neoenergia plans to invest R$ 50 billion across its five distributors, delivering 115 new substations and expanding 162 existing facilities. The budget allocates R$ 25 billion to Neoenergia Coelba, R$ 9.7 billion to Neoenergia Pernambuco, R$ 8.2 billion to Neoenergia Elektro, R$ 4.1 billion to Neoenergia Cosern, and R$ 3.1 billion to Neoenergia Brasília.
