Novo Nordisk plans to launch more than five drugs with blockbuster sales by 2030, according to Chief Executive Officer Mike Doustdar at a company event in London on September 21, 2026. The drugmaker also aims to generate more than 150 billion Danish kroner ($23 billion) in sales by 2035 from treatments currently under development. The company aims to introduce the CagriSema combination early next year, followed by cagrilintide alone and a high-dose CagriSema in 2028, before moving forward with zenagamtide.
Doustdar stated that Novo Nordisk targets reaching more than 60 million patients globally by 2030. It plans to increase manufacturing capacity tenfold to provide oral obesity treatments to 15 million patients by the end of the decade. The company intends to have at least five oral drugs in clinical trials by the end of this year. Doustdar added that oral Wegovy has reached a record 7 million prescriptions in the United States so far, with 90% of those sales coming through direct patient-pay channels.
