The lawsuit filed against the company and Anbima claims BRL 50,000 per affected investor.
Oncoclínicas announced on September 29, 2026, that it has been summoned to contest a public civil action. The lawsuit seeks joint liability against the healthcare company and the Brazilian Financial and Capital Markets Association (Anbima), alongside compensation for certain shareholders.
The legal action demands compensation for current and former shareholders who bought shares in the company's initial public offering or in the secondary market. The requested amount equals the price that would have been guaranteed in a mandatory tender offer under article 39 of the company's bylaws. That provision requires anyone acquiring 15% or more of Oncoclínicas shares to launch a tender offer within 60 days of the acquisition date.
The lawsuit also seeks damages of BRL 50,000 per eligible shareholder or former shareholder, or an amount to be determined by the court, payable to the State Fund for the Defense of Diffuse Rights. Oncoclínicas stated that no ruling on the merits has occurred yet and that it will take the appropriate measures to defend itself. The case is pending before the 3rd Business and Arbitration Court of the São Paulo Central Civil Forum.
