The chipmaker unveils its long-term strategy for automotive, industrial and AI data centers.
On 16 September 2026, onsemi outlined its long-term growth roadmap targeting a $213 billion total addressable market by 2030. The strategy focuses on overcoming power constraints in AI data centers, automotive systems, industrial equipment and emerging applications.
The semiconductor manufacturer highlighted three primary technology platforms designed to raise power density across complete systems. These include high-voltage materials spanning silicon, silicon carbide and proprietary vertical gallium nitride, the Treo platform for analog and digital control, and the Embedded Power Platform, which integrates multiple chips directly at the wafer level.
President and CEO Hassane El-Khoury stated that power density has emerged as one of the defining engineering challenges of the decade as AI expands from infrastructure into physical machines such as robots and vehicles. The company intends to deploy shared platforms across end markets to raise revenue per design and reduce reliance on any single sector.
