Oracle names Juan Carlos Vega as regional manager

Oracle announced the appointment of Juan Carlos Vega as its new manager for Colombia, Central America, and the Caribbean. The enterprise software company stated that it aims to maintain its focus on the adoption of cloud technologies and artificial intelligence, as well as digital transformation initiatives across both the public and private sectors.

Vega's leadership priorities include expanding the use of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, data management platforms, cybersecurity, and the modernization of critical business applications. The company noted that integrating these countries will help drive best practices and broaden development opportunities across the region.

Vega brings more than 20 years of experience in the technology industry, with a background in commercial leadership and digital transformation. Juan Carlos Vega, manager of Oracle for Colombia, Central America, and the Caribbean, stated that Colombia is one of the most dynamic markets in the region for cloud and artificial intelligence adoption, and noted that its proximity to Central America and the Caribbean opens up a significant opportunity.

Germán Borromei, who served as manager of Oracle Colombia, is stepping down from the role to pursue other professional challenges, according to the company.
