Palantir Technologies and autonomous systems provider Ondas announced on October 12, 2026, the formation of Regna AI. The new standalone private venture will help defense organizations, governments, and commercial enterprises deploy mission-specialized, fine-tuned artificial intelligence models within their own sovereign environments.

The venture is powered by Palantir's Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP) and bootstrapped by Ondas, which initially holds full ownership. Palantir will provide model-training infrastructure and support delivery. Both companies will also collaborate on forward-deployed engineering to integrate software directly into customer workflows.

Regna AI's models are designed for edge hardware, including drones, stratospheric balloons, ground vehicles, surface vessels, and command-and-control nodes. The software supports operations under denied, degraded, intermittent, or limited connectivity conditions. Ondas will serve as the venture's first customer, deploying the models for autonomous mission orchestration on the edge.

The project builds on an existing collaboration between Ondas and Palantir on SkyWeaver C4I, an open-architecture capability that integrates layered surveillance from the stratosphere to the tactical edge. Alex Karp, co-founder and CEO of Palantir Technologies, noted that sovereign AI trained on mission knowledge allows institutions to run dedicated systems without relying on external commercial frontier models.
