Petrobras secures 650M liters of diesel imports

Petrobras has secured the import of 650 million liters of diesel required to meet demand in October, according to Angélica Laureano, the company's Director of Logistics, Commercialization, and Markets. Speaking after a panel at the ROG.e oil and gas conference, Laureano stated that the firm does not expect large import volumes for November.

October typically represents one of Brazil's peak periods for diesel consumption due to summer crop planting and the transport of harvested corn. Laureano noted that domestic production largely covers demand, and consumption softens following the harvest period.

The company is also shutting down the Presidente Getúlio Vargas Refinery, known as Repar, in Paraná for scheduled maintenance. The facility is set to resume operations in November, while all other Petrobras refineries continue operating at a very high capacity utilization rate.
