Petrobras sends P-80 platform to Brazil from Singapore

Petrobras reported that the P-80 platform, also known as Búzios 9, departed the Tuas Boulevard Yard shipyard in Singapore on September 30, 2026. The floating production, storage, and offloading vessel (FPSO) is heading to the Búzios field in the pre-salt Santos Basin.

The P-80 has the capacity to produce 225,000 barrels of oil per day and process 12 million cubic meters of natural gas per day. Its process modules were manufactured in Brazil at the Seatrium BrasFELS shipyard in Angra dos Reis. Petrobras operates the Búzios field in a consortium alongside China's CNOOC and CNPC.

The platform is one of six major units planned by the state-run company. A second unit, the P-82, is in its final construction phase with modules built at the Seatrium Aracruz shipyard in Espírito Santo. Both the P-80 and P-82 are expected to enter operation in 2027.

The first of these six units, the FPSO Almirante Tamandaré, has already reached production of up to 270,000 barrels per day. Three additional platforms under construction, the P-83, P-84, and P-85, will be deployed respectively to the Búzios, Atapu, and Sépia fields in the Santos Basin pre-salt.
