SAP and IBM launch Ready for SAP Solutions for cloud ERP
The offering targets midsize organizations modernizing systems for AI initiatives.
IBM announced IBM Ready for
SAP Solutions on Oct. 7, 2026, partnering with SAP to help midsize and fast-growing organizations modernize their cloud enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. The initiative unifies enterprise data and sets up a digital core intended to support artificial intelligence projects.
Early adopters include modular construction firm Volumetric Building Companies and snack maker Second Nature Brands. Volumetric Building Companies reduced operational cycle times by 50% across purchasing, manufacturing, and inventory workflows following a three-month SAP Cloud ERP deployment with IBM. Second Nature Brands used the solution to integrate its acquired Voortman Bakery business onto a unified enterprise platform.
The service combines IBM's consulting delivery platform, IBM Consulting Advantage, with SAP's GROW Fast methodology. Santina Franchi of SAP Corporate Segment and GROW noted that the joint offering is designed to shorten deployment times to weeks and build a digital base for expanding across the SAP Autonomous Enterprise.
According to data from the IBM Institute for Business Value, 68% of enterprises view accelerated ERP modernization as essential for operational efficiency and competitive standing. IBM Ready for SAP Solutions is currently available in select countries and industries, with plans to expand availability globally.
