SAP announced on Tuesday that it entered into an agreement to acquire TechWolf, a provider of an artificial intelligence work intelligence platform. The transaction is scheduled to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approval. The companies did not disclose the financial terms of the deal.

TechWolf uses a proprietary context graph for work to track organizational tasks, workforce skills, and external labor market data. Its open-source models have surpassed two million downloads. The acquisition will bring TechWolf's AI models, its context graph, and its applied AI research team into SAP as an intelligent core for the SAP SuccessFactors portfolio.

Manoj Swaminathan, president and chief product officer for SAP Autonomous Suite and member of the Extended Board of SAP SE, stated that the technology lowers the cost of deploying workforce agents and improves the intelligence of SAP's Joule assistant in skills-based hiring, workforce planning, and role redesign.

SAP plans to keep TechWolf operating as an independent entity led by CEO and co-founder Andreas De Neve from its headquarters in Ghent, Belgium, alongside offices in London, New York, and San Francisco. The platform will remain accessible to both SAP and non-SAP customers, with client relationships including HSBC, AMD, and PayPal. J.P. Morgan acted as exclusive financial advisor to TechWolf.
