Tesla reports third-quarter results on Wednesday
Analysts expect revenue of 28.07 billion USD after the closing bell
Tesla confirmed it will report its third-quarter 2026 financial results on Wednesday, October 21, after the market close.
The consensus estimate calls for earnings per share of 0.43 USD and revenue of 28.07 billion USD for the third quarter of 2026. In the last four quarters, Tesla beat earnings estimates twice and missed twice, with surprises ranging from negative 36.4% in the second quarter of 2026 to positive 10.1% in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Recent operational milestones
On October 2, Tesla announced that it produced 464,391 vehicles, delivered more than 486,000 passenger vehicles, and deployed 13.7 GWh of energy storage products during the third quarter of 2026. European vehicle registrations also saw gains in September, including a 61.86% increase in France.
The company also expanded its Austin Cybercab fleet from 58 to 125 vehicles between September 21 and September 25. On October 5, Tesla CEO Elon Musk confirmed memory reductions for the AI5 and AI6 chips on the Optimus robot to reduce costs and scale production toward a long-term goal of 1 million units per year. In commercial vehicles, IMC Logistics ordered 50 Tesla Semis for California on October 7, and Pilot partnered with Tesla to open its first Megacharger station in Georgia on October 8, with 12 additional sites under construction.
Separately, a consensus compiled by TipRanks projects adjusted earnings per share of 0.45 USD and revenue of 27,780 million USD for the third quarter of 2026. For the full year 2026, analysts surveyed by Visible Alpha expect total vehicle deliveries to reach 1.82 million units.
