On 3 September 2026, Truist Financial Corporation announced the appointment of Tory Sherman as Wealth Brokerage national director within its private wealth division, Truist Wealth. The newly created role aims to advance the growth strategy of the wealth division.
Sherman reports to Bryan Cram, head of Wealth Brokerage for Truist Wealth. In this role, Sherman oversees sales and sales support functions. His responsibilities include advisor productivity, client acquisition, and revenue growth. He will also collaborate with teams across Truist Wealth, Wholesale Banking, and Truist Premier on a unified go-to-market strategy.
Sherman brings nearly 30 years of wealth management experience to the company. Most recently, he worked as executive vice president and president at Comerica Financial Advisors, where he oversaw the national brokerage and wealth advisory unit and led sales and strategy. Before his time at Comerica, Sherman spent two decades at Wells Fargo, beginning as a financial advisor before advancing into senior leadership roles.
