Hiring begins in October to ramp up front-load washing machine output.
Whirlpool opened 128 temporary factory jobs at its plant in Rio Claro, in the state of São Paulo. Hiring is scheduled to begin in October to support the manufacturing of a new line of front-load washing machines. The company noted that the temporary contracts include the possibility of permanent placement.
The operational openings require a high school diploma and offer benefits such as on-site meals, public transit vouchers, and life insurance. Candidate registration is being handled in person or by phone via staffing agency RHBrasil.
The new front-load washer line stems from an investment Whirlpool announced in May to expand advanced manufacturing in Brazil. The Rio Claro site, which employs 3,500 workers, concentrates production for this category and features Industry 4.0 systems, including artificial intelligence, data intelligence, computer vision, Internet of Things solutions, and more than 20 high-precision robots.
