Shares traded down to $245.46 as AWS expanded its artificial intelligence lineup.
Amazon highlighted a fresh batch of artificial intelligence tools in its September 28 AWS roundup. Shares of the company fell about 0.28% to $245.46 at 10:05 a.m. EST on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.
Amazon Bedrock added OpenAI's GPT-6 Sol and Luna alongside Anthropic's Claude Opus 5.5. In addition, AWS introduced CloudWatch Omni to monitor applications and AI agents.
AWS also launched a SageMaker HyperPod gateway designed to cut first-token latency by up to 82% in tested mixed-hardware and bursty scenarios. While the expanded lineup gives developers more choice, cheaper models lower the revenue per call, requiring higher overall usage to boost cloud revenue.
