The brewer aims for nationwide distribution by the end of 2026.
On 17 September 2026, Ambev announced the expansion of its Guaraná with fiber into Brazil's Southeast, South, and Central-West regions. The beverage was previously available only in the city of São Paulo, following a pilot launched in late 2025. The company plans to achieve nationwide distribution by the end of the year.
The drink combines zero-sugar Guaraná with 4.4 grams of added fiber. Ambev considers the release the debut of functional sodas in Brazil. The product belongs to the beyond beer unit, a division dedicated to developing alternative beverage labels.
According to the company, Guaraná Antarctica Zero with Fiber ranked among its five top-selling non-alcoholic canned beverages. With the rollout underway, the number of buyers on Ambev's B2B platform Bees tripled over the past quarter.
The expansion follows other recent wellness-oriented launches, including gluten-free Stella Pure Gold, reduced-calorie Michelob Ultra, and the Spaten Pro protein beer introduced in July. Ambev has not disclosed the investment figures allocated to this segment.
