Arcos Dorados plans up to $1.5B capex and 600 new restaurants
The McDonald's franchisee targets 550 to 600 openings and steady EBITDA growth from 2027 to 2030.
Arcos Dorados announced its long-term financial framework at its 2026 Investor Day on October 1, 2026. The company expects to invest between $1.3 billion and $1.5 billion in its capital expenditure program from 2027 through 2030. During that same period, the operator plans to open between 550 and 600 new restaurants.
The company's long-term financial ambition targets mid- to high-single digit annual growth in total revenue. It also projects high-single to low-double digit annual growth in adjusted EBITDA.
Executive Chairman Woods Staton and CEO Luis Raganato presented the strategy alongside senior management. Staton noted that 40 years after opening the first McDonald's restaurant in Buenos Aires, the company's accumulated scale provides a strong foundation for its next phase of profitable growth.
Arcos Dorados operates as the world's largest independent McDonald's franchisee, holding exclusive rights across 21 Latin American and Caribbean countries and territories. As of June 30, 2026, the company and its sub-franchisees operated more than 2,500 restaurants and employed more than 100,000 people.
