Coca-Cola Femsa leaves Andi beverage chamber in Colombia

Coca-Cola Femsa announced its voluntary withdrawal from the Beverage Industry Chamber of the National Business Association of Colombia (Andi), according to a letter obtained and reported by Semana on September 24, 2026.

The bottler executed the decision through its local operating companies, Coca-Cola Bebidas de Colombia S.A. and Industria Nacional de Gaseosas (Indega) S.A.S. The company stated that the move applies strictly to the sectoral beverage chamber and that both subsidiaries remain affiliated with Andi as a whole, keeping all related obligations up to date.

The measure took effect upon receipt of the letter under Article 13 of Andi's Sectoral Chamber Regulations and Article 58 of its bylaws. Semana reported that this move could serve as an initial step toward a full exit from the business association.

The withdrawal occurs amid tensions between the Colombian government and Andi president Bruce Mac Master, following an executive order barring government ministers from meeting with him.
