Colombia exports rise 15.1% in August 2026
Fuel and mining shipments drove foreign sales to $4,456.2 million FOB during the month.
Colombian exports reached $4,456.2 million FOB in August 2026, according to a report by Valora Analitik on October 5, 2026. This represented a 15.1% increase compared to August 2025, when sales totaled $3,871.5 million FOB.
Fuels and extractive industries accounted for the largest share of shipments during the month at 40.1%, expanding by 23.8% year-on-year. Agricultural goods, food and beverages followed with a 23.9% share, though that segment fell 16.0%. Manufacturing made up 20.0% of total sales with a 5.6% gain, while other sectors represented 16.0%.
Between January and August 2026, total exports reached $36,880.7 million FOB, up 12.8% from $32,680.3 million recorded in the same period of 2025. Fuels and extractive industries led cumulative sales with a 40.3% share and a 16.9% increase.
In the eight-month period, agricultural goods, food and beverages held a 26.4% share despite falling 4.1%. Manufacturing represented 19.0% and fell 1.5%, while other sectors made up the remaining 14.4%.
