The new Despegar Pago tool lets lodging providers access revenue from confirmed bookings within 48 business hours.
Despegar launched Despegar Pago, a financial solution enabling hotels and tourism suppliers to collect revenue from confirmed bookings in advance. The digital process takes five clicks, and suppliers receive funds within up to 48 business hours after simulating the transaction and reviewing associated costs.
The company has piloted the service across Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico. Despegar CFO Renan Pinto stated that advance payouts are nearing $1 million, with an objective to multiply payout volume by 50 to reach $50 million between October and March.
Despegar stated that the tool is an advance on generated revenue rather than a traditional loan, and the sum is later deducted from regular settlements. Fees are based on individual credit evaluations and local market rates, providing liquidity for working capital, maintenance, and operating expenses.
The rollout coincides with tourism growth in Argentina, where Despegar recorded 4 million overnight stays in November 2025, up 5.3% year-over-year. Resident stays rose 4.8% and non-resident stays increased 6.8%, alongside government tracking of 160 tourism investments adding over 9,000 rooms.
