Eaton expands its Austrian plant by 5,000 square metres
The project in Schrems was completed in under ten months to meet growing demand for power management.
Eaton celebrated the expansion of its manufacturing facility in Schrems, Austria, on 1 October 2026. The project adds 5,000 square metres of space and was completed in less than ten months. It aims to support rising regional demand driven by electrification and digitalisation across Europe.
The expanded site introduces fully automated production of miniature circuit breakers and broadens assembly capacity for low-voltage systems. It incorporates a manufacturing execution system that links production, intralogistics, and enterprise software in real time to offer end-to-end traceability.
Across Europe, customers are investing in the critical infrastructure that keeps businesses running, supports economic growth and meets rising demand for power. This expansion reflects our continued investment in manufacturing, technology and a skilled workforce, adding capacity for the products and solutions our customers rely on every day.
The power management company, founded in 1911, reported 27.4 billion dollars in revenue for 2025 and serves customers across 180 countries. Eaton previously opened its Connected Learning Center at the Austrian site in 2024 to train workers in automation and Industry 4.0 systems.
