Eaton Aero Services gains Part 145 repair approval while backed by the Singapore Economic Development Board.
Eaton announced two strategic aerospace expansions during the MRO Asia-Pacific 2026 event on September 23, 2026. Eaton Aero Services, its joint venture with SIA Engineering Company, received a Federal Aviation Administration Part 145 Repair Station certification.
The FAA certification allows Eaton Aero Services to deliver FAA-approved maintenance, repair, and overhaul services, as well as issue airworthiness release certificates. This approval joins existing accreditations from the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore and the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia to bolster aftermarket support across the region.
Alongside the joint venture certification, Eaton is expanding its engineering and innovation footprint in Singapore with support from the Singapore Economic Development Board. The initiative focuses on aerospace product innovation, retrofit, modification, and upgrade programs, as well as MRO process development.
Ian Lam, managing director of the Aerospace Group for Asia-Pacific at Eaton, stated that the ongoing investment in Singapore strengthens the company's regional capabilities and allows it to serve customers with faster response times and localized support. Founded in 1911, Eaton reported revenue of $27.4 billion in 2025 and serves clients across 180 countries.
