The publisher announced the award-winning co-op title will debut on the upcoming console on October 15.
Electronic Arts announced that its hit co-op title It Takes Two will launch on the Nintendo Switch 2 on October 15, 2026. The release was revealed during a Nintendo Direct broadcast in partnership with developer Hazelight Studios and porting specialist Turn Me Up Games. Due to regional time zones, the launch falls on October 16 in Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea.
The title will sell for $39.99 STD on the new hardware, matching its current price on other digital storefronts. Players who already own the game on the original Nintendo Switch can upgrade to the Switch 2 edition for free through the Nintendo eShop or in-game screen. The upgrade offer excludes Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, and Japan, where legal restrictions require a small fee.
Electronic Arts stated the updated version features higher resolution, richer visual effects, and improved frame rates. Players can also use cross-platform play and the free Friend's Pass feature to connect with users on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
