Embraer renews support deal for 32 Japan Airlines jets

Embraer and Japan Airlines announced on September 21, 2026, the renewal of their Pool Program agreement. The contract provides support for a fleet of 32 E-Jets operated by the airline in Japan.

The agreement covers E170 and E190 models and includes maintenance, repair, and component supply services. It also ensures critical spare parts remain in stock close to airline operations to reduce replacement times. J-Air, the regional subsidiary of Japan Airlines, has operated these aircraft since 2008 on domestic routes. Over the six months preceding the renewal, the fleet recorded an average operational reliability rate of 99.8%.

Embraer has operated in the Asia-Pacific region since 1978. More than 15 airlines across seven countries in the region currently fly E-Jets. To support these fleets, the manufacturer maintains regional service centres, flight simulators for E1 and E2 aircraft, and a regional distribution centre holding more than $120 million in component inventory.
