The executive replaces Francisco Irarrázaval as corporate general manager on 1 October.
Falabella designated Tomás Platovsky as the new corporate general manager of Falabella Retail. Starting on 1 October, Platovsky will replace Francisco Irarrázaval in the top retail post and will report directly to the group CEO.
Platovsky joined Falabella in 2007 as brand manager for Diadora after earlier roles at Banco Security and retailer Lounge. Over nearly two decades at the retailer, he managed standalone stores, led commercial operations across Chile, Peru, Colombia, and Argentina, and served most recently as general manager of Falabella Chile.
In his new role, Platovsky will oversee retail department stores across three countries as well as digital sales, including marketplace sellers and Sodimac integration. Platovsky projects that the online channel could reach 50% of retail sales, alongside possible inorganic expansion and store openings, especially in Peru.
