Eligible employer plan members will receive Fitbit Air devices and AI-driven insights
Google Health Enterprise, a division of Alphabet, partnered with Weight Watchers on September 29, 2026, to integrate wearable hardware and artificial intelligence into corporate health programs. The service is available through select Weight Watchers for Business client accounts.
Under the agreement, eligible members can receive a Google Fitbit Air device and access to Google Health Premium after reaching specified activity and duration milestones. Users can sync the Fitbit Air directly to their Weight Watchers account to track metrics such as daily movement, sleep patterns, and overall health signals.
By bringing Fitbit Air and Google Health Enterprise together with Weight Watchers, we are delivering actionable insights into those everyday moments—empowering members to build lasting routines while giving employers a proven driver for long-term engagement.
The announcement cited clinical research showing the impact of tracking habits. A six-month trial of 153 participants showed that individuals who logged their food at least five days a week lost four times more weight than those logging fewer than three days. Additionally, separate research cited by the companies showed that adding a Fitbit device raises activity by an average of 950 steps per day, while higher daily step counts correlated with a 25% reduction in type 2 diabetes risk in a Nature Medicine study.
