Foreign investment funds sought compensation over stock depreciation claims
JBS stated on Tuesday, 22 September 2026, that it obtained an entirely favorable decision in four arbitration proceedings filed against the company at B3's Market Arbitration Chamber (CAM).
The cases, identified as CAM numbers 151/20, 157/20, 195/21, and 252/23, also named J&F S.A., Joesley Mendonça Batista, and Wesley Mendonça Batista as respondents. Foreign investment funds initiated the arbitrations, alleging informational failures and seeking compensation for purported losses related to the depreciation of JBS shares.
Proceeding CAM 252/23 began on 25 September 2023 and was later consolidated with the three prior cases. JBS had disclosed that case to the market in May 2024.
The final arbitral award was issued on 4 September 2026, and the company learned of the decision on 16 September. Because these are arbitration proceedings, the details of the discussions and the ruling remain confidential under applicable law, CAM rules, and arbitration agreements.
