The food company targets over 30% volume growth in its fish category for 2026.
Pietrán, a nutrition brand owned by Grupo Nutresa, introduced a new communication and portfolio expansion campaign called 'Cuidarte tan bien es elegir Pietrán'. The initiative promotes daily well-being habits and conscious eating, such as staying hydrated and selecting lean proteins.
In its cold cuts category, Pietrán projects sales of more than 13.2 million ham packages per year, which equals over 1 million units per month. The range includes single-meat pork, turkey, and chicken products providing up to 15 grams of protein and a maximum of 1.1 grams of saturated fat per 100 grams. Since before 2015, the brand cut sodium in its portfolio by 25%, representing over 4,000 cumulative metric tons of salt eliminated across the cold cuts division by the end of 2025.
Pietrán is also expanding its fish offerings, which include tuna, salmon, tilapia, and trout sold vacuum-packed as fillets, centers, and medallions. For 2026, the brand forecasts fish category growth above 30% in volume and 50% in value compared to the previous period, reaching over 431,800 units or about 112 metric tons.
