The retailer plans store openings, 21 remodels, and digital upgrades in late 2026.
Organización Soriana announced on September 22, 2026, that it will invest more than MXN 961 million during the second half of the year. The capital will fund store openings and reopenings, the remodeling of 21 branches, and the expansion of its digital sales channel across Mexico.
The company will open and reopen three stores, adding over 18,000 square meters of retail floor space. This expansion will create more than 1,000 direct and indirect jobs across the states of Veracruz and Nuevo León, according to Rodrigo Benet Córdova, administration and finance director of the supermarket chain.
Soriana will also remodel 21 Híper and Súper format branches located in Mexico City, the State of Mexico, Coahuila, and Nuevo León. The maintenance, adjustment, and improvement work will cover nearly 162,000 square meters. As part of this push, the chain has already spent more than MXN 128 million to renovate 10,804 square meters across its Soriana Híper Encinas branch in Hermosillo, Sonora, and Soriana Híper Las Fuentes in Torreón, Coahuila. Overall, the plan covers actions across 26 stores.
The project also focuses on omnichannel capacity. Soriana reported that its online grocery sales grew over 60%, while its network of stores equipped to fulfill digital orders expanded by 117%, led by Monterrey, the Valley of Mexico, and Jalisco.
