Johnson & Johnson posts 90% myeloma progression cut

Johnson & Johnson announced new data from the Phase 3 MajesTEC-3 study evaluating Tecvayli combined with Darzalex Faspro in patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma who had received one to three prior lines of therapy.

Statistical modeling estimated that approximately 87% of patients treated with the combination had a mortality risk and projected life expectancy similar to an age-matched general population. The model projected a remaining life expectancy of 18.5 years for the combination group, compared with 4.9 years for standard-of-care therapy and 21.1 years for the matched general population.

A post hoc analysis demonstrated a 90% reduction in the cumulative incidence of disease progression versus standard of care. At 36 months, disease progression was 8.7% with the Tecvayli regimen compared with 62.1% for the control group. The 36-month overall survival rate was 83.3% versus 65.0%, while non-relapse mortality rates showed no significant difference at 10.2% versus 9.0%.
