Lockheed Martin secures Black Hawk training deal with Philippines
The agreement includes a flight simulator and sustainment support through 2032.
Lockheed Martin announced on October 8, 2026, that it signed a Direct Commercial Sale contract with the Philippine Department of National Defense. The agreement supplies advanced training equipment and services for the Philippine Air Force, marking the company's first order for S-70i Black Hawk training devices.
The contract includes an S-70i Black Hawk Full Flight Simulator, a Virtual Maintenance Trainer, associated courseware, and sustainment and spare-parts support through 2032. The Virtual Maintenance Trainer incorporates physics-based models of hydraulics and avionics, while digital-twin technology replicates aircraft configurations. While the Philippines establishes its domestic facility, Lockheed Martin will continue training Philippine Air Force pilots at the Sikorsky Training Academy in the United States.
The Philippines deploys Black Hawk helicopters for search and rescue, humanitarian aid, firefighting, and troop transport. The deal expands Lockheed Martin's defense offerings beyond manufacturing into training and long-term maintenance.
The Zacks Consensus Estimate projects Lockheed Martin's earnings per share to grow 31.7% in 2026 and 8.44% in 2027. Over the past three months, the company's shares dropped 2%, outperforming an industry decline of 14.8%. Its forward 12-month price-to-sales multiple stands at 1.40, compared with an industry average of 2.07.
