The company holds 1.1% of its share capital in treasury shares as of 25 September 2026.
Novo Nordisk announced on 28 September 2026 that it has repurchased 35,379,179 B shares for DKK 9,939,842,031 since 4 February 2026. The purchases were made at an average price of DKK 280.95 per B share, according to the transaction update through 25 September 2026.
The transactions are part of an overall share repurchase programme of up to DKK 15 billion to be executed over a 12-month period that started 4 February 2026. Under a sub-programme initiated on 6 May 2026, the company plans to buy back B shares for up to DKK 11,200,000,010.45 by 1 February 2027.
Following the latest transactions, Novo Nordisk holds 49,419,876 B shares of DKK 0.10 as treasury shares. That volume represents 1.1% of the total share capital, which consists of 4,465,000,000 A and B shares including treasury holdings.
