Nubank Parque naming rights remain as BTG takes stadium

On Friday, 18 September 2026, investment bank BTG Pactual announced an agreement to take majority control of the company operating Nubank Parque, the home stadium of Brazilian football club Palmeiras. The current operator, builder WTorre, will remain a relevant shareholder and participate in key strategic decisions, according to its exclusive financial adviser Vinci Compass.

The transaction does not alter Nubank's naming rights agreement for the venue. Nubank acquired the naming rights in April, replacing Allianz after roughly 12 years, and introduced the Nubank Parque identity in July following a public vote. BTG Pactual monitored that process while negotiating the deal with WTorre, and existing sponsorship contracts will remain valid.

The takeover stems from a 2024 transaction in which Enforce, BTG Pactual's credit manager, purchased about BRL 650 million in stadium-related WTorre debt from Banco do Brasil. That debt carried the arena operation as collateral. The financial terms and the exact share sizes of the new transaction were not disclosed, and the closing still depends on clearance from Brazilian antitrust regulator Cade.

The commercial arrangement with Palmeiras continues unchanged until 2044 under the existing surface rights contract, with executive Marcelo Frazao expected to stay in charge of the arena team. The stadium hosted 33 major concerts with 1.1 million attendees in 2025, and generated US$ 61 million in box office revenue from 988,000 tickets between December 2024 and November 2025, according to trade publication Pollstar.
