The executive joins from Circle Internet Group to lead the company's global legal organization.
Nu Holdings announced on 17 September that Sarah Wilson has been named chief legal officer. She will lead the company's global legal organization and report directly to David Vélez, founder and CEO of Nubank.
Wilson joins Nubank from Circle Internet Group, where she led the legal department and advised management on corporate, product, regulatory, litigation, commercial, and governance matters. She holds a law degree from the Northwestern University School of Law and a bachelor's degree in international relations from the University of Southern California.
Sarah combines legal depth, business acumen, and experience to navigate moments of great complexity. Her background in capital markets, M&A, governance, and highly regulated sectors will be valuable as we continue to pursue growth in our core markets.
Wilson stated that joining the company represents an opportunity to contribute to its next growth phase, help address complex legal challenges, innovate responsibly, and strengthen a solid legal foundation.
