ENGIE will supply renewable electricity for data centers serving cloud and AI workloads.
On 17 September 2026, ENGIE North America announced renewable energy supply agreements with Oracle to power its expanding operations in Texas. Under the deal, ENGIE will supply up to 568 MW of renewable electricity sourced from a portfolio of wind energy assets serving the Electric Reliability Council of Texas market.
The electricity will support Oracle's expanding cloud and artificial intelligence infrastructure in the state. Oracle aims to match 100 percent of the electricity use in its AI data centers with carbon-free power by 2035.
Oracle is taking a responsible approach to meeting the energy needs of our growing AI and cloud operations in Texas — investing in carbon-free electricity without shifting costs to consumers.
Over the past six years, Houston-based ENGIE North America has expanded to approximately 12 GW of renewable generation and battery storage capacity across North America, representing 11 billion dollars of capital employed.
