Partners target up to a 2-gigawatt data center buildout by 2027 using the DSX platform.
NVIDIA announced on 9 September 2026 that it is partnering with an ecosystem of Australian cloud and infrastructure providers to expand land, power, and shell capacity. The initiative is designed to deliver up to a 2-gigawatt buildout by 2027 to host multiple generations of NVIDIA DSX AI factories.
The partner group includes Firmus, Sharon AI, IREN, Megaport, ResetData, CDC, NEXTDC, and AirTrunk. Under the collaboration, these local providers will operate the facilities, while NVIDIA supplies its full-stack DSX platform, accelerated computing hardware, networking, and software support. The expanded capacity aims to serve local entities such as Atlassian, Heidi, universities, and regional developers with NVIDIA Nemotron open models.
Individual partners detailed specific deployment targets within the ecosystem. Sharon AI plans to deploy up to 68,000 NVIDIA GPUs linked by Quantum InfiniBand and Spectrum-X Ethernet networking. IREN will apply the architecture to its 800-megawatt Bundey campus in South Australia, while CDC noted it operates over 550 megawatts of capacity across Australia and New Zealand, with an additional 800 megawatts currently under construction.
