Nvidia lands order for 20,000 Rubin GPUs from AM Intelligence
The binding deal expands AMI's committed Nvidia Rubin capacity to around 29,000 chips across India and Malaysia.
AM Intelligence announced on October 5, 2026, two firm and binding orders for about 20,000
Nvidia Rubin GPUs. The chips will be deployed as Nvidia Vera Rubin NVL72 rack-scale systems across India and Malaysia, with deliveries scheduled for the second quarter of 2027.
The new orders add about 70 megawatts (MW) of power capacity. They follow an initial order announced on August 25, 2026, for 9,000 Nvidia Rubin GPUs for an AI factory in Hyderabad, India. Combined, the three commitments total roughly 29,000 Rubin GPUs and close to 100 MW of power, ranking AM Intelligence among the earliest and largest buyers of Rubin chips outside North America.
The buyer plans to add 300 MW more over the next 15 months, requiring capital spending exceeding $20 billion, on top of $6 billion committed for the initial 100 MW. AM Intelligence holds an overall pipeline of about 400 MW of Compute-as-a-Service capacity across India, Malaysia, the United States and Europe, with subsequent tranches set for delivery in 2027 and early 2028. The firm targets 1 gigawatt (GW) in compute services and 5 GW of powered data centres.
Vishal Dhupar, managing director for Asia South at Nvidia, said AM Intelligence is bringing the next generation of AI factories to India and Malaysia with the Nvidia Vera Rubin platform. Anil Chalamalasetty, chairman of AM Intelligence, stated both facilities will use liquid cooling and high-throughput RoCE networking alongside advanced storage systems.
