The Callao facility is the largest distribution hub in the Andean region.
PepsiCo inaugurated a new $59 million logistics hub in Callao, Peru, named the Mixing Distribution Center. The facility is the largest distribution center in the Andean region.
The hub covers nearly 24,000 square meters and includes 29 loading docks alongside 18,560 storage positions. The facility increases finished product inventory capacity by approximately 43% and raw material inventory capacity by 42%.
Construction generated more than 1,000 direct and indirect jobs. The site sources local agricultural inputs such as potatoes, corn, and sweet potatoes for brands including Lay's, Doritos, Cheetos, and Piqueo Snax.
Francisco Diaz, general manager of PepsiCo Alimentos Peru, said the investment reflects the company's confidence in Peru and strengthens its local operations to meet customer demand.
