Porto Seguro seeks CVM deregistration for Porto Serviço
The move is part of a corporate reorganization to boost synergies and scale.
Porto Seguro announced on October 2 that its subsidiary Porto Serviço filed a request with Brazil's securities regulator, the CVM, to cancel its public company registration.
According to the material fact, the decision is part of a corporate reorganization of the group's services division. The company aims to increase synergies and scale across the businesses involved.
Porto Seguro stated that all holders of securities issued by Porto Serviço agreed with the request, which should simplify the process. The cancellation still requires formal approval from the CVM under current regulations.
The company also noted that the move does not rule out reassessing an initial public offering in the future when market conditions are favorable.
