The companies plan deeper cloud-native integration and joint go-to-market initiatives.
NetApp announced on September 29, 2026, its plan to expand its long-standing partnership with SAP. The companies intend to explore deeper cloud-native integration of NetApp capabilities into SAP Cloud Infrastructure, SAP's Infrastructure-as-a-Service platform.
The NetApp Platform supports key elements of the SAP Cloud Infrastructure storage architecture, providing file and block storage services alongside data protection and replication. The planned collaboration aims to support SAP's footprint across multiple regions and availability zones while meeting regional compliance standards.
Jonathan Bletscher, SVP and Head of Infrastructure Platform Engineering and Delivery at SAP SE, said both companies are exploring ways to strengthen the infrastructure and data layer that runs SAP applications, the SAP Business AI Platform, and customer workloads.
The companies also plan to explore joint go-to-market initiatives to assist customers in migrating and modernizing workloads on SAP Cloud Infrastructure. In addition, NetApp and SAP plan to evaluate NetApp Object storage within the platform, including a technical validation.
