The potential transaction aims to strengthen an existing beauty licensing partnership.
L'Oréal has entered discussions to acquire a minority stake in Giorgio Armani. The move comes as Armani conducts a broader internal reshuffle that includes leadership updates, a revised brand strategy, and talks with external investors.
A potential transaction would deepen the long-running licensing partnership between the two luxury companies. L'Oréal currently manufactures and distributes fragrances, cosmetics, and skincare products under the Armani name.
L'Oréal holds a market valuation of 202.7 billion euros and operates distribution across Europe, the Americas, Asia, and several emerging markets. Taking equity in the Italian fashion house would expand the group's presence in ultra-high-end beauty against competitors such as LVMH and Estée Lauder.
