Suzano S.A. agreed to acquire a 10% equity stake in Imetame Logística Porto S.A. The company announced the agreement on 31 August 2026 to support its logistics infrastructure in Aracruz, Brazil.
Suzano budgeted 0 BRL in capital expenditure for the port project in 2026. The transaction expands its export reach while avoiding new cash outlays for the current fiscal year.
The planned Aracruz port complex includes 5 specialized terminals and a maximum depth draft of 17 meters. Within the complex, a container terminal joint venture involves a 50% stake held by Hanseatic Global Terminals.
The container terminal features a planned quay length of 750 meters. Once operational, it has a projected annual container handling capacity of 1.2 million TEU.
